Bako Sweet® Unveils Strategic Collaboration With DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight; Alexandra Rae Molumby Shares
BAKERSFIELD, CA - The beloved animated characters of Kung Fu Panda and a selection of high-quality sweet potatoes—could you possibly think of a better pairing? Bako Sweet® has aligned with DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, now streaming on Netflix, to captivate shoppers and inspire increased sweet potato purchases.
“We are thrilled to be working with DreamWorks Animation to bring this collaboration to life in a way that elevates the sweet potato category and encourages shoppers to use Bako Sweet in a fun new way,” said Alexandra Rae Molumby, Director of Marketing for Bako Sweet. “Thanks to the earned trust of the Bako Sweet brand with shoppers and the popularity of the Kung Fu Panda franchise, we have high expectations for this partnership.”
The creative collaboration brings together the deliciousness of Bako Sweet sweet potatoes with the popular characters from Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, bringing vibrant new character artwork to all of Bako Sweet’s 3 lb and 5 lb mesh bags. These designs will be featured on the bags from July through October to celebrate the popular animated series. Upping the appeal even further, a QR code will be printed on the bag that leads to Mr. Ping’s Sweet Potato Dumplings and the brand’s Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight Sweepstakes.
By utilizing the much-loved characters featured in the series on its packaging, Bako Sweet aims to further strengthen brand trust and drive shopper engagement, according to a press release, especially as we near the back-to-school season. It’s a surefire strategy, as I know my childhood self would be eager to bring home a delicious spack of sweet potatoes adorned with my favorite Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight heroes!
The sweet potato provider is going the extra mile to support this fun collaboration, utilizing social media promotions on Instagram, influencer partnerships with Jean Choi of What Great Grandma Ate and Kelsey Preciado of Little Bits of Real Food, and a consumer sweepstakes which gives shoppers the opportunity to win $5,000 and a year of sweet potatoes.
