Kroger Expands With New Store in Plano, Texas; Keith Shoemaker Comments
CINCINNATI, OH - Kroger’s expansive reach is extending yet again, this time with a new store located in Plano, Texas.
“We first opened our store on Coit Road in Plano in 2005, and nearly 20 years later, we look forward to welcoming the community to our new and improved Marketplace store across the street,” said Kroger Dallas Division President Keith Shoemaker. “Our new Marketplace store in Plano will feature the very best that Kroger has to offer.”
Community Impact reported that construction officially began on the new marketplace store located in north Plano on September 20, bringing a 124,000-square-foot store to the region.
The store is set to open in late 2024. The location will feature a full-service grocery, along with a Starbucks kiosk, Murray’s Cheese counter, and more. It is expected to create 100–150 jobs in the area.
New Kroger locations are also planned for Fort Worth and Melissa, Texas, according to the source. Both stores are also expected to open in late 2024.
