Dole Food Company Rolls Out 12 New Recipes for "Twelve Days of Christmas"; Melanie Marcus Details
CHARLOTTE, NC - On the twelfth day of Christmas, consumers will indulge in some delicious Twisted Candy Cane Dole Whip. Offering up a produce-focused twist on the classic carol, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” Dole Food Company is inspiring produce purchases with 12 new recipes crafted with the 2023 holiday season in mind.
“It’s no surprise that more people stress about following a healthy eating regimen during the holidays than at any other time of the year,” said Melanie Marcus, MA, RD, Dole’s Nutrition, Wellness, and Communications Manager. “This holiday season, we want to show that it is possible for your celebrations to be simultaneously healthy, fruit-and-vegetable-forward, and delicious—whether it be the big family dinner, fancy party, smaller gathering, or day-after leftovers.”
The recipe developers at Dole Food Company have debuted four seasonal breakfast/lunch dishes, two appetizers, two drinks, two desserts, and one salad. As a press release explained, each of these creative recipes prove that holiday recipes can be healthy, festive, and slightly indulgent at the same time.
The newest additions to the Dole Food Company online recipe library include:
