SALINAS, CA - What better way to start the week than with news of a recent leadership appointment? Church Brothers Farms has made headlines with the announcement that Amelia Firme has joined the company as Vice President of Packaging Procurement, while Amy Thorpe has been promoted to Director of Packaging Materials.

As a press release detailed, Firme has had an impressive 42-year career in purchasing, including 26 years as the Director of Purchasing at Organic Girl. In this role, she played a pivotal role in developing industry-leading packaging solutions while upholding a commitment to nurturing long-term supplier partnerships and operational efficiency.
As she takes on this new role, Firme will harness her extensive expertise to assume responsibility for all aspects of packaging procurement, including supplier relationship management, material procurement, and cost controls.

Also stepping into a crucial new role is Thorpe, who will now serve as Director of Packaging Materials. The former Inventory Improvement Manager wields over 12 years of experience in procurement for packaging and ingredients in the food industry. Before her tenure with Church Brothers Farms, Thorpe served as a Category Manager for Dole Fresh Vegetables.
Both of these newly appointed leaders will play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s strategic growth plans and upholding its commitment to operational excellence, the release noted.
