Syngenta Vegetable Seeds to be Featured on RFD-TV’s “Where the Food Comes From"; Glenn McKay Comments
WOODLAND, CA - It’s lights, camera, and action for Syngenta Vegetable Seeds as the company prepares to be featured in two episodes of RFD-TV’s Where the Food Comes From, hosted by Chip Carter. The episodes are set in the Central Sand region of Wisconsin at peak production time, highlighting two generations of sweet corn farmers.
“As a young boy, I remember selling Jubilee sweet corn out of my dad’s pickup truck, and it helped shape my future. What Weston is doing really resonates with me,” said Glenn McKay, Americas Regional Portfolio Manager, referencing the 12-year-old farm stand owner Weston Hannan, who will be featured. “The world needs more farmers."
In addition to Hannan, the episodes will feature Bob Heath, an experienced farmer who works alongside his daughter, Heidi Heath. According to a release, they have run Heath Farms for the past 50 years.
These features also highlight how Syngenta supports its range of fresh market sweet corn customers with proven varieties that not only yield but also provide the desired eating experience that brings people back for more. With more than 80 years of experience in sweet corn breeding, Syngenta is dedicated to research and improvement in this crop.
Syngenta offers varieties varying in sweetness, color, and more to suit any palate.
