Honeybear Brands® Brings Organic Pazazz® Apples to Retail; Don Roper Comments
ELGIN, MN - Honeybear Brands® announced an addition to its product portfolio, further expanding its growing organic offerings. The Pazazz® apple, a year-round item that blends tart and sweet flavors, is now available to retailers as an organic option exclusively from Honeybear.
“We are excited to offer organic Pazazz and expand our portfolio with one of our signature varieties. We will continue to increase our supply as the pace of demand continues to grow for organics,” said Don Roper, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Pazazz is a late-season variety developed by Honeybear and has proven to be a fan favorite with shoppers, a press release noted. It’s a late-harvested apple whose flavor improves in storage—providing retailers with a crisp and juicy apple that lasts throughout the winter and spring months.
Organic Pazazz are grown in Washington state; conventional Pazazz apples are available year-round from orchards in Washington, the Midwest, New York, Nova Scotia, and Chile. Domestic orchards and packing facilities stretch East to West to provide locally produced, packed-to-order freshness and shorter travel times for retailers.
As shoppers continue to demand organic options, it’s essential to stay current with their requests. In fact, organic produce sales are growing faster than conventional food sales, increasing by more than 2 percent according to reporting from the Organic Produce Network.
We’ll continue to keep our eye on the organic sector, so keep your eyes on ANUK.
