Healthy Family Project Highlights Fresh Produce at FNCE 2024; Amanda Keefer Comments



MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Aiming to create a healthier generation, Healthy Family Project recently hosted its second annual Fruit & Veggie Trivia Night at the Food Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE®), attracting over 100 dietitians. This dynamic event highlighted the significance of fresh produce while strengthening relationships between nutrition professionals and top produce brands.

The event facilitated networking, trivia, and charitable giving, reinforcing Healthy Family Project’s mission to support dietitians in promoting healthy lifestyles. According to a press release, the organization’s in-house dietitian, Julie Lopez, RD, highlighted the vital relationship between the produce industry and nutrition professionals.

This year's gathering featured an impressive roster of partners, including Bard Valley Natural Delights®, Envy™ Apples, and the Idaho Potato Commission, among others.

Each partner contributed to a vibrant culinary experience, with trivia questions that engaged attendees and fostered friendly competition, complete with exciting prizes.

Dietitians embraced the Fruits & Veggies & Giving Back theme, reflecting Healthy Family Project’s commitment to philanthropy. The event's produce partners pledged over $13,000 to the Foundation for Fresh Produce to enhance access to fruits and vegetables in schools.

The Fruit & Veggie Trivia Night not only celebrated fresh produce but also reinforced Healthy Family Project’s dedication to nutrition education and community wellness, creating a lasting impact on both attendees and the communities they serve.
