IDAHO FALLS, ID - Potandon Produce is introducing two new items, both available now – Klondike Royale and Klondike Smileys.

Klondike Royale

With a rich French heritage, this potato brings all that is great about the world-renowned Burgundy region to consumer tables this Fall. Creamy-textured yellow fleshed potatoes sealed with naturally occurring violet “kisses” on the skin. Excellent for roasting, frying, and boiling. These potatoes are comparable to russets from a cooking perspective and can be substituted into recipes that call for russets bringing a different look and a different taste profile, yet enjoying the same cooking instructions.

Klondike Royale is available in a new 5# poly bag that features two purple clad fairies who deliver the brand message: “taste the love in every bite.”   

Also available in a 10# poly bag, suitable for club stores. This package features the “naturally gluten free” tag line and has a photograph of the potatoes, along with a great twice baked potato recipe on the back and a 3# stand up pouch.

Klondike Smileys

Launching in both the Green Giant label and the Klondike Brands label, Smiley potatoes are perfect for introducing children to cooking and eating fresh potatoes thanks to their “fun” imagery and ease of preparation.

Smileys are yellow fleshed potatoes with naturally occurring “smiles” that appear yellow over the pinkish skin in a random pattern.

The Green Giant Klondike Smiley 3# poly bag marks the first time Potandon has incorporated the Sprout as part of its packaging design.
