Bobalu Releases Update on California and Mexico Strawberry Crops
CALIFORNIA & MEXICO - Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo. That is the song we are singing here in California as this past weekend brought sunny weather to the state. This proved to be beneficial for Bobalu’s strawberry crops, as the provider recently released an update on its harvest progress in California and Mexico.
Oxnard, CA, in particular, saw some favorable weather in the past week, with sunny conditions yet cooler temperatures throughout the day and night. The supplier expects volume to continue increasing weekly as the crops recover from last month’s intense rain storms. Bobalu provided an optimistic outlook on its Santa Maria, CA, crop as well.
“Santa Maria is still running three to four weeks behind due to the January storms, but the fields are progressing and we look forward to better news in the coming weeks as we get closer to March,” Bobalu wrote in a recent newsletter.
In Mexico, on the other hand, Bobalu continues to harvest strawberries on a daily basis with a top focus on quality. The company, as stated in the newsletter, benefited from consistent volumes out of Mexico as California supplies remained light amidst unusually wet weather conditions.
As Bobalu continues to provide updates on its crops, ANUK will be here to keep you informed.
