Cory Oliver Joins Bebo Fresh in the Newly-Created Role of CEO
PHARR, TX - Longtime produce industry leader Cory Oliver is joining the Bebo Fresh team, bringing his wealth of diverse experience to the newly-created position of CEO for its produce and joint business operations. Given Cory's 28-year produce retail background in a variety of formats across the U.S., he will be well-prepared to lead Bebo Fresh's fresh business to the next level, following the company's 30 years of innovation in the produce space.
Cory's retail career began where many other's do—bagging groceries. Starting at the bottom with Albertsons, over the next 11 years, he worked his way up to Senior Produce Buyer and Procurement Manager. Shifting gears to work for Ahold USA, Cory spent the next two years as Produce Category Manager, where he was integral in constructing the retailer’s centralized buying program. Next, moving on to Texas-based grocer H-E-B, Cory spent 11 years working his way up from Produce Business Development Manager to Business Unit Director. When I met Cory, he was the Senior Director of Produce for fast-growing retailer Sprouts Farmers Market, where he spent three years. Cory's most recent role was as Wesco Produce Area Manager at Kroger, where he oversaw the retail giant's Fresno and Wenatchee offices.
Now as CEO of Bebo Fresh, Cory will put his lifetime of produce knowledge and leadership experience to work, helping to streamline and improve the company’s produce business, as well as improve relationships with both retail outlets and foodservice partners. Bebo Fresh's businesses span several sectors of the food industry and beyond, including international importing and exporting, growing, packing, and marketing fresh produce, as well as ventures in wine and grocery.
Congratulations to our friend Cory Oliver on this next step in his career and to Bebo Fresh for a great leap into further produce excellence.
