CHARLOTTE, NC - Ten. That’s the number of days left until the Big Game—but, who’s counting? That means 10 more days for retailers to capitalize on sales across the produce aisle and beyond, and Dole Food Company has launched its “Healthier by Dole” series of nutritious recipes and menu alternatives for some fun game-time meal and snacking inspiration.

This new program is led by Marcus and offers consumers easy-to-make recipes that are high in fruits and vegetables, and also packed full of flavor to please any crowd. According to a release, Dole will be kicking off the “Healthier by Dole” series with Big Game Day Vegan Tailgate ideas, sharing 10 vegan entrée, side dish, dessert, and drink recipes.

Providing all of the taste with healthier ingredients, the lineup of dishes features snackable, dip-based dishes and better-for-you versions of American tailgate favorites such as fries, wings, tater tots, and mac n’ cheese. Not to mention, over half of the recipes are gluten-free.

For retailers, this new series provides an excellent opportunity for cross-merchandising ingredients across the aisles, encouraging shoppers to add more fresh produce to their baskets than they may have normally.
