The Expo West Experience Is Going East in 2020
UNITED STATES - The association behind Natural Products Expo West and East, New Hope Network, has decided it will not be moving forward with a rescheduled Natural Products Expo West event in Anaheim, California, in 2020. After consulting with key partners within the natural products community, the association decided to cancel Expo West due to the developing circumstances around the COVID-19 virus.
The solution, New Hope Network noted in a press release, will be to shift focus and resources toward Natural Products Expo East in order to create a hub of innovation and networking for the industry. The event will be hosted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 23-26, 2020.
“We are directing our attention to Philadelphia and are excited about the opportunities we can provide the industry via our increased exhibition and gathering spaces within the Pennsylvania Convention Center and the plans we have for showcasing the industry’s emerging brands, new product innovations and sustainability efforts in unique ways,” the association said in its statement. “Our goal is to create the energy, experience and excitement delivered every year at Expo West.”
As part of the move, the New Hope Network will be working closely with its Expo West partners, exhibitors, and attendees to find the best solutions moving forward. Thus far, this has included establishing a $5 million fund to support emerging brands that have significantly been affected by the Expo West 2020 disruption.
