Former Walmart Exec Patrick Haines Joins World Fresh Produce; Michel Matouk Comments
CHERRY HILL, NJ - Not everyone makes the jump from the buy-side to the supply-side, but those who do bring with them a wealth of experience that informs their work going forward. Patrick Haines, former Walmart executive, has done just this, recently joining the World Fresh Produce team. He is entering the role of Executive Vice President.
“I am excited to join this team and to continue work expanding World Fresh Produce’s current momentum and explosive growth,” said Haines, who is a highly respected industry veteran carrying a wealth of experience and an entrepreneurial mindset. “We have a customer-focused mindset that really helps our customers succeed.”
According to a press release, Haines is a long-time contributor to the industry, having served as Senior Director and Hub Leader for Walmart Global Food Sourcing, Merchandise Manager for Walmart US, and a participating member of the Produce Marketing Association Global Development Committee and the International Fresh Produce Association Supply Chain Council.
The appointment of Haines begins a new era of World Fresh Produce’s growth trajectory, as it seeks to further reinforce its values of quality, freshness, collaboration, transparency, passion, and innovation.
“Patrick brings significant expertise in strategic development, leadership, and retail to the World Fresh team from his previous positions in a 34-year-long run at Walmart,” said World Fresh President Michel Matouk, in the press release. “We value the experience and perspective he brings to our business.”
