Harps Food Stores Named Number Three on Newsweek's 2022 America's Best Retailers List; Kim Eskew Comments
SPRINGDALE, AR - The United States has an impressive roster of grocery retailers. With such tight competition nationwide, those who rank among the best of the best deserve recognition. Harps Foods Stores received such recognition this week, as the retailer ranked number three on Newsweek’s 2022 America’s Best Retailers List.
“I was so excited to see this ranking,” said Kim Eskew, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Our stores are completely owned by the employees, and I think that shows in our customer evaluations. You truly are dealing with an owner at each of our locations. This honor is extremely special because it is solely based on what our customers think and experience and not what someone else in the business thinks about our chain.”
Harps was ranked in the supermarket category with a score of 89.62, according to a press release. The Newsweek list is based on a survey of more than 10,000 U.S. consumers who have shopped in-person inside retail stores in the past three years. Retailers are compared according to five criteria—products, customer service, atmosphere, accessibility, and shop layout—and the likelihood of respondents to recommend a retailer to friends and family.
Over 150,000 evaluations were collected on retailers in 39 categories, and the top three to 10 retailers receiving the highest scores in each category were recognized as America’s Best Retailers for 2022.
Congratulations to Harps on this well-deserved recognition!
