Produce Pro Reflects on 30 Years as a Software Leader in the Produce Industry
WOODRIDGE, IL - In a year like 2020 where one month can have as many twists and turns as a decade, hearing that Produce Pro Software is celebrating its 30th anniversary carries even more weight and excitement than usual. Centered around the idea of “Growing Together,” the company, which started with just a few programmers, has evolved to encompass four locations nationwide and over 100 associates, continuing to expand the innovative team.
“We are dedicated to providing the best and most robust solutions and support for our customers. As our company continues to grow and the industry changes at the rapid pace we have seen over the past few years, [especially this year], we will evolve and enhance the functionality of our software to support the needs of our customers and industry alike,” said Dave Donat, President.
The company started three decades ago with a mission to establish a software solution for the specific needs of the produce industry, according to a press release. In December of 1990 the company received its very first customer, Caruso Inc., and from there has evolved to 300 produce company partners and 7,000 end users running the Produce Pro’s fully integrated ERP solution.
“This anniversary is all about growth. While our customers have grown, the functionality of our software continues to expand which has caused steady and strong growth for us as a company since 1990,” said Marc Hatfield, National Sales Manager.
Honing it’s industry prowess for the last 30 years, 2020 posed many challenges, but the celebration of this important milestone shows the resilience and longevity of not only the company, but the industry itself. As the company’s customers continue to grow, so too does Produce Pro Software and its ability to meet the changing needs of those it serves.
“While our customers have been busy running [and adjusting] their operations this year, they continue to inspire us and drive us to do more. Our passion to not just be a software company but also experts in this industry has been the bedrock of our company these past thirty years,” continued Donat. “It’s a privilege to serve this industry, and we look forward to growing together for many more years to come.”
