Walmart Introduces Cashierless Format
BENTONVILLE, AR - Walmart is never one to shy away from progressive moves, especially when it comes to convenience. But when the major retailer let the public know that a new store chockfull of technological innovations and hyping the new redesigned produce format was opening, I almost considered moving. The company will be unveiling a new Neighborhood Market in Coral Way, Florida.
“Saving time is just as important as saving money,” wrote Patrick Shanks, Regional Vice President, Neighborhood Market Operations, in a post. “This week, we’re opening a new Neighborhood Market in Coral Way, Florida, that offers a number of new technologies aimed at helping with just that.”
Exciting perks of the store also include the following:
- Online Grocery Pickup – Able to fulfill hundreds of orders per day, with curb-side pickup possible
- Same-Day Grocery Delivery – Specially trained shoppers pick the best fresh produce and grocery items that are delivered right to consumers' doors
- Expanded Checkout Options – Now expanded to include large baskets that give customers the option to scan the groceries themselves or have a Self-Check Out Host assist
- Check Out With Me – Associates can check customers out anywhere in the store using handheld store devices
“In addition to these services, the new store will have several of the conveniences Neighborhood Market shoppers enjoy across the country, including a pharmacy, full-service deli, and a newly redesigned fresh produce department,” continued Shanks. “The store will create about 100 new jobs.”
