MONTEREY, CA - The past year has been filled with ups and downs, but our industry has persevered. However, one challenge that still remains top of mind for suppliers and buyers alike is the disruptions throughout the transportation sector. As we walked the show floor for PMA Foodservice 2021, the ANUK team decided to stop by Allen Lund Company’s booth to see what insights Kenny Lund, Executive Vice President, could share.

“Rates are up this year, upwards of 30 percent. Supply chains are challenged, and as a family company, we feel like, well, the family is stressed out. We have a tagline that says, we treat your loads, your product, like its family. And it has been a very challenging year,” Kenny explained.

With the costs of transportation increasing and loads becoming more challenging to move, one thing on our mind was what Allen Lund Company, with over 45 years of industry expertise, was doing to mitigate the issues being faced by its customers.

“We’ve increased business, the number of loads we’re handling, by 23 percent, which is an astounding growth rate. And we are doing that by communicating more with our customers, improving our software to give you the visibility of the loads,” Kenny continued.
