Alpine Fresh® and Procacci Brothers to Host Tournament Benefiting Metastatic Breast Cancer; Jose Sanchez and J.M. Procacci Detail
MIAMI, FL - A tag team all fore the best has been formed between Alpine Fresh® and Procacci Brothers. The two companies joined together to host a charity golf tournament in Doral, Florida, to benefit Metavivor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women and men fighting against stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
“We were so pleased to sell out our inaugural tournament for such a great cause,” commented Jose Sanchez, the President of Alpine Fresh, on the tournament’s charitable cause to honor Kerry Oridoan, the daughter of a dear friend and colleague who lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer in April 2022 at 31 years old.
Organized by Mike Kelly and Gabby Procacci, participants played the famed “Blue Monster,” challenging their golf skills while helping to raise over $150,000 for Metavivor.
Each year, 200,000 Americans are diagnosed with breast cancer. As noted in the release, 6–10 percent of these diagnoses are metastatic or stage 4, and approximately another 30 percent of breast cancer patients develop metastatic breast cancer. Although 30 percent of all breast cancer patients will metastasize, only 2–5 percent of research funding goes to metastatic breast cancer.
“What a pleasure to spend time with friends and family for a cause close to me,” J.M. Procacci, the Chief Executive Officer of Procacci Brothers, commented in the release. “We are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
What a great par-tee for a good cause!
