Bobalu Announces Bobalu Berry Farms Scholarship Recipients; Bobby and RC Jones Share
OXNARD, CA - If you can cast your memory back to high school graduation, you might remember a time of great excitement and opportunity. Graduates in Ventura County, California, are likely feeling the same, as Bobalu has offered up crucial financial assistance with its new Bobalu Berry Farms Scholarship Program, which was launched in honor of the company’s 60th anniversary.
“We are excited to offer this new scholarship program for graduating high school seniors in Ventura County. We were excited to review applications received to determine the first-ever recipients of our scholarships,” said Bobby Jones, Managing Partner.
Nine scholarships are being awarded to graduating students of the Oxnard Union High School district as they make plans to attend college. Some students this year are the first in their family to attend college and have expressed gratitude in their essays for the support they received from family, teachers, and school counselors, according to a press release.
“We are so impressed with the caliber of these students that have worked so hard all four years. Their commitment to succeed was very clear when seeing their high GPAs and community service work. They are all prepared and ready to succeed in reaching their goals,” added Bobby.
The recipients of these scholarships reportedly exceled with the merit-based requirements and the community service/volunteerism aspects. They are graduating from Pacifica, Adolfo Camarillo, and Rancho Campana High Schools. Certificates are being presented at annual awards ceremonies this week leading into graduation ceremonies.
“We look forward to building on this program next year and adding Santa Maria high schools to our scholarship program,” commented RC Jones, Managing Partner. The scholarship program is representative of the community investment that Bobalu places top of mind in its day-to-day operations.
Congratulations to the nine scholarship recipients!
