Calavo Growers Prepares to Showcase Products at SEPC Southern Innovations; Rob Wedin Tells All
SANTA PAULA, CA - This year, Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Innovations attendees are about to strike gold—green gold, that is, as Calavo Growers will be taking to the event to showcase its delicious avocados. With the exciting show quickly approaching, I got in touch with the supplier’s Executive Vice President of Fresh Sales, Rob Wedin, to talk shop.
“SEPC events like Southern Innovations draw in decision-makers from across the country,” Rob explains. “We are thrilled to offer our fresh commodities and ready-to-eat guacamole and other avocado-based products on a national scale to attendees. We are proud members of SEPC and are excited to return to in-person events like Southern Innovations.”
At the highly anticipated industry event, Calavo will be highlighting its organic and Fair Trade Certified™ avocados, which are part of the grower’s year-round program. In addition, Calavo will be showing off its all-natural guacamole, which is made with no preservatives and maintains a long shelf-life due to the use of Ultra High Pressure technology.
As the avocado purveyor prepares to take the floor at Southern Innovations, one of its key focuses is demonstrating its unwavering commitment to its retail partners.
“We pride ourselves on being a solutions-oriented partner for our customers,” Rob adds. “For example, our newly updated avocado bags provide ripening and storage education for consumers in our ‘Know Your Avo’ tips.”
While the industry anxiously awaits the commencement of this year’s Southern Innovations, Rob also teases a few more thrilling announcements to come from Calavo.
“As we are always evolving, Calavo has lots of exciting initiatives on deck to align with our ‘one-company’ vision,” he concludes. “Stay tuned for more in the coming months!”
