California Specialty Farms Names Blair Butterworth to the Retail/Inside Sales Team and Rob Rasmussen as the Director Of Business Development

LOS ANGELES, CA - New leaders seem to be the bedrock of California Specialty Farms’ (CSF) growth strategy. The company recently named two new leaders as it looks to grow its operations into the retail sector. Blair Butterworth was named to the Retail/Inside Sales team on January 4, and Rob Rasmussen has been named as the Director Of Business Development.

Blair Butterworth, Retail/Inside Sales Team, California Specialty Farms“CSF continues to refine and redefine products that appeal to the nation’s dynamic in-home dining experience,” Blair told me. “We will be focusing even more on pack sizes and packaging that is both functional and disposable and produce that is a delight to the palate.”

Prior to her new role, Blair worked for Grimmway Farms/Cal-Organic as the company’s Sales and Merchandising Specialist for the last five years. She has joined the CSF team to help enhance its portfolio of retail offerings. While CSF is best-known for its decades-long service to the foodservice sector, it has also been serving grocers with fresh produce and herbs for decades, and Blair’s addition underscores its commitment to meaningful product and packaging innovations and solutions for retail grocers nationwide.

Rob Rasmussen, Director of Business, California Specialty FarmsRasmussen formerly worked on the sales team at Westlake Produce for over a year and managed the Melon category, which included working with SoCal retailers on seasonal programs and weekly ads. He also has significant experience working as a Financial Advisor. Each of these appointments helps CSF to dedicate more time and expertise to building out its retail arm.

“We are dedicating additional resources to help address the challenges that retailers are facing today and provide them products that better meet their and their customers’ needs. With the evolving nature of our industry, especially in the face of a pandemic, we are thankful that our retail products were valued by consumers during these difficult times,” Blair explained. “That said, much has changed, and now is the time to address these changes and provide retailers and consumers with products that better meet the needs of all concerned.”

At the end of the day, each of these new hires will be responsible for thinking outside the box. Market differentiation is more important than ever, and retailers are looking for that partner who will give them a competitive edge.

Congratulations to both Blair Butterworth and Rob Rasmussen on these exciting appointments!
