NOGALES, AZ - With May in full bloom, there is an overwhelming sense of happiness and excitement in the air, as the warm weather primes us for a fun-filled summer. Divine Flavor has announced even more reason to be excited, as the grower is officially kicking off its 2021 Sonoran grape program. As it enters its 15th grape season, the company anticipates packing more than 5 million boxes out of Northern Mexico this season, a 25 percent increase from last year.

“We’re tremendously excited for this year’s grape program, and I trust our team will be able to accommodate the needs of our retail partners,” said Carlos Bon, Vice President of Sales.

As the company gears up for its biggest commercial volume since it was established in 2006, Divine Flavor veterans and Sales Managers Dennis Hay and Alan Morfin and Grape Category Manager Antonio Escobar will assist Bon into this year’s grape deal, a press release explained. Other sales members assisting with Divine Flavor’s grape program include Elizabeth Smart, Liz Cheang, and Luis Rodriguez, in addition to Mike Demattia, who was brought on earlier this year.

“Each sales member of Divine Flavor is a direct extension of our customers, and they are able to take into account the complexity of retail freight, freshness, and timeliness,” said Bon. “By having the team we have today, this has allowed us to take on expansion opportunities and also provide better service to our customers. We are able to offer them more volume on specialty varieties and help them promote repeat purchases.”

Divine Flavor grows and imports more than 25 commercial varieties, including popular favorites like Cotton Candy^®, and newer varieties such as Jellyberries and Gummyberries.
