Driscoll's Appoints Wyard Stomp to Managing Director of Driscoll’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa; J. Miles Reiter Comments
EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST, AND AFRICA - Driscoll’s is taking even more steps to continue delighting shoppers through the joy provided by delicious, high-quality berries—this time, with the appointment of a new leader. The berry provider recently revealed it has promoted Wyard Stomp to Managing Director, Driscoll’s of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
“I’m honored to have this opportunity to continue this vision of an exciting future for a complex category that is fueled by innovation and flavor,” said Stomp. “I look forward to engaging with our customers, growers, and consumers.”
Stomp originally joined Driscoll’s in 2012 as part of its European unit, after formerly working with a dairy cooperative in Europe. Stomp and his family relocated to California in 2017, during which Stomp held the role of Chief Commercial Officer for Driscoll’s largest business unit.
As the berry provider explained in a press release, this organizational change fuels the growth trajectory and innovation of an important geographical region in the berry category.
Driscoll’s EMEA division is well-positioned for its next stage of growth and development, as the company plans to continue building its business through the recently completed acquisition of Berry Gardens, as well as through innovations such as paperboard packaging and the integration of more effective supply chain logistics solutions.
As Managing Director of Driscoll’s EMEA, Stomp will report to Driscoll's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer J. Miles Reiter.
“We look forward to Wyard’s dynamic leadership and the insurgent attitude he will bring to energize both employees and growers toward our goal of Driscoll’s being the leading fresh berry company in all of Europe and the Middle East,” said Reiter. “When we promote from within, we are recognizing the excellence and passion our employees have for our mission.”
Congratulations to Wyard Stomp on this exciting new position in the fresh produce industry!
