Duda Farm Fresh Foods' Sammy Duda Highlights Portfolio in 2022 Southern Exposure Shop Talk
ORLANDO, FL - The Southeast Produce Council’s recent Southern Exposure event offered a multitude of opportunities to connect with representatives from both the buy- and supply-sides. In between the hustle and bustle, I had the chance to link up with Sammy Duda, President of Duda Farm Fresh Foods, to see what the company had on display.
“The items that we are really showcasing [are] a couple things: certainly our East Coast Program, which is in South Florida—our celery program, our leaf and lettuce program, our value-added radishes, our corn program, and especially our tray pack corn program. But, in addition to that, we have our West Coast program,” Sammy told me.
Duda Farm Fresh Foods complements its East Coast program with its West Coast program, with year-round supplies in the West and regional options in the East. Sammy relayed that its diverse range of programs and its regional differentiation are what make Duda Farm Fresh Foods unique.
While there are many portfolios under the Duda Farm Fresh Foods umbrella, Sammy said that celery is the company’s flagship product.
“You can do things with us you can’t get from anybody else,” he continued. “I think what also makes us different is having regional supply. So we have a year-round supply of regional options in Florida, then Georgia, then Michigan. I’m unaware of anybody who does that. We think those two things are our unique value propositions."
