SAN FRANCISCO, CA - GrubMarket is spreading its roots on both the supply- and buy-sides with its latest acquisition. The wholesaler has completed the purchase of Rainfield Marketing Group, which provides a range of fruits, vegetables, and Asian specialty items sourced from the United States, Mexico, Korea, and more. The provider sells to hundreds of retailers, restaurant groups, foodservice companies, and wholesale customers across the U.S.

Rainfield Marketing Group is run by original Owner, Richard Choe, alongside President Greg Emi. According to a press release, the company is known as one of the largest shippers of green onions through the SAKURA private label. In addition, Rainfield Marketing Group is committed to maintaining the highest food safety standards, having received GAP and PrimusGFS certifications.

After the acquisition, the business will continue to be managed by its current experienced and mission-driven leadership team. Rainfield Marketing Group will now utilize GrubMarket's innovative and proprietary WholesaleWare software suite, as well as Orders IO.
