“The turn from Halloween to Thanksgiving is traditionally the kickoff to peak availability of Jacobs Farm brand organic fresh herbs including: basil, chives, cilantro, dill, mint, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, tarragon, and thyme,” Kyla said. “Del Cabo branded zucchini, Persian cucumbers, padrons, shishitos, and cherry tomatoes are also plentiful this time of year.”
Jacobs Farm del Cabo products are grown fresh, organic, and with sustainability in mind. The grower offers a full line of fresh, organic herbs, including specially-curated herb mixes to enhance any type of dish: hearty herb mix (traditional bouquet garni); holiday mix (a great herb rub mixture); and pasta, poultry, and seafood mixes. With this in mind, I asked Kyla how retailers can best merchandise Jacobs Farm’s offerings.
“Ultimately, maintaining a consistent cold chain is the best way for the retailer to guarantee high quality and long shelf life to the end user,” she noted. “Maintaining proper moisture and temperature control is key. Herbs are an ideal accoutrement to many different grocery departments. Available in convenient pillar displays, Jacobs Farm herbs are a great item to promote recipe and other usage ideas.”
