Red Sun Farms™ Gears Up for SEPC's Southern Exposure; Harold Paivarinta Shares Exclusive Insights
KINGSVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA - Ready to learn about the newest product innovation coming out of the greenhouse sector? Red Sun Farms™ is bringing its Empress Limited Edition Tomatoes and more to this year’s Southern Exposure. As this limited-edition offering takes the spotlight, Red Sun will also be showcasing its sustainable packaging journey and out-of-this-world Sweetpops™ difference.

“We have centered our communication around these three key areas because consumers are prioritizing the best value in flavor and quality while maximizing their grocery budgets,” shared Harold Paivarinta, Red Sun Farms’ VP of Sales and Business Development. “Although value remains a primary focus, we also recognize that delivering responsible, sustainable solutions is essential for the long-term growth of our categories.”
To bring its robust portfolio to market, the Red Sun Farms team collaborates closely with seed breeders, expert growers, and its supply partners to explore new innovations and technologies. This commitment to continuous improvement drives higher consumption and promotes healthier lifestyles. As Harold explained to me, this passion for exceptional produce has led to the development of Red Sun’s Sweetfamily, which is just the beginning of Red Sun Farms’ journey to deliver great taste and healthier choices for consumers. Also elevating its industry prowess, the company recently completed work on an 18.5-acre project that will come on-line with first harvests in April. Additionally, planning is underway for a new state-of-the-art organic facility, consisting of almost 35 acres of organic capacity on a 12-month, uninterrupted production cycle. As well, the company’s new micro-propagation lab is fully operational, bringing propagation capacity to 30.5 million seedlings annually.

When asked what the supplier seeks in a buy-side partner, Harold had this to share.
“At Red Sun Farms, our core values—accountability, collaboration, trust, and innovation—guide everything we do,” he said. “We seek these same values in our strategic partnerships, ensuring mutual success that benefits both our partners and, ultimately, the consumer.”
