WILLIAMSVILLE, NY - When it comes to its latest growth strategies, it’s clear that Tops Friendly Markets is setting its focus on improving the customer experience. The retail chain is employing a host of advancements across its New York store footprint, including a $2.7 million store renovation in Cheektowaga, as well as the expansion of its contactless service options.

Placing its focus on improving the shopping experience, Tops Friendly Markets has implemented a host of advancements across its New York store footprint, including a $2.7 million store renovation in Cheektowaga

The newly renovated store will now offer enhanced services, an extended selection of products, and an enlarged fresh perimeter with updated décor, a press release explained.

An expanded produce area features seasonal items including fresh-cut vegetables, fruit, and trays carefully selected, washed, cut, and prepared for quick and easy ready-to-serve convenience. The grocer aligns with over 500 local produce and dairy farmers to bring a dynamic selection of produce items to its shoppers. Guests will be invited to explore the results of this multi-million-dollar renovation project on August 9.

In addition to recent renovations, including an expanded produce department, Tops has also expanded its contactless service options

In addition to fresh-forward store renovations, Tops Friendly Markets has also announced its plans to roll out contactless shopping options to nine new locations across New York through its expanded partnership with Instacart.

The expansion of this service allows Tops’ customers to order from thousands of items, including fresh produce, to be delivered right to their doorsteps in as little as one hour.
