Bolthouse Farms Donates $25,000 to Support Young Leaders in Fresh Produce and Floral
BAKERSFIELD, CA - If it wasn’t made obvious enough by the company’s successful second annual People Day, Bolthouse Farms is a supplier that cares deeply for the people that dedicate themselves to the produce industry. The value-added maven recently reinforced its commitment to those who will become leaders in the fresh produce space with an investment in the Center for Growing Talent by the Produce Marketing Association (PMA).
The supplier has donated a total of $25,000 to support the organization’s programs, as revealed in a press release, which attract and develop the talent needed to meet today’s challenges in the produce and floral industries.
Out of the donation, $20,000 was given to the Center for Growing Talent’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). The ELP empowers the next generation of industry leaders by preparing them to embrace increasing levels of responsibility and handle challenges and opportunities that will arise as they step into their roles as leaders.
An additional $5,000 was presented to the organization’s Career Pathways Program, which offers college students the opportunity to experience the industry and potential career opportunities through in-person engagement and online training. This fall, the organization also launched a new online certificate Career Pathways program to expand its reach and discover even more student talent eager to learn about the industry.
Those who will lead our industry tomorrow are equally as important as those who do today, so we applaud Bolthouse Farms in its continuous investments in the growth of future produce luminaries.
