Bolthouse Farms' Melissa Pine Selected as Southern Roots Member Spotlight
BAKERSFIELD, CA - If you haven’t had a chance to connect with Bolthouse Farms’ Melissa Pine, you are missing out. The supplier’s National Sales Director carries admirable expertise and infectious enthusiasm everywhere she goes, which makes it no surprise that she was recently announced by Southeast Produce Council (SEPC) as the Southern Roots Member Spotlight for February 2023.
“Leadership is giving guidance,” said Melissa when asked how she defines leadership. “I am lucky enough to have a leader at my company that gives guidance and helps with perspective. Internally at Bolthouse, our CCO practices resilience, candor, crystal clear communication, care toward business and employees, and ability to collaborate and solve problems.”
As explained in the organization’s latest newsletter, SEPC Southern Roots is a leadership program for women in produce that is designed to make meaningful connections among women working in the produce industry through events, education, and mentoring. By sharing values, contributions, and experiences, the ladies of Southern Roots will have an opportunity to improve leadership skills, individually and collectively, and will then positively affect organizational effectiveness at all levels, the organization explained.
