CMI Orchards Debuts Rebrand at PMA Fresh Summit
WENATCHEE, WA - With all eyes on products debuting at this year’s PMA Fresh Summit, CMI Orchards has decided to jump on the opportunity to launch a brand refresh for its Ambrosia variety.
“This is an extremely exciting event for all of us at CMI,” Vice President of Marketing George Harter said. “The time is right for a brand refresh. CMI has grown and marketed Ambrosia apples for over a decade, and it’s time to really clue customers and retailers in to the fact that CMI’s Ambrosia are truly exceptional.”
Speaking of the mesmerizing variety, Ambrosia apples were a top selling branded apple throughout 2017 in the U.S., leading by over $20 million dollars in sales, a recent press release citing Nielsen FreshFacts data shares.
“The McDougall family has a legacy of growing high-quality fruit, and CMI is excited to present the gold standard of Ambrosia apples,” said CMI’s Brand Manager Rochelle Bohm. “Their techniques for growing Ambrosia apples have been perfected over more than a decade resulting in an incredibly consistent apple, with a delicate crunch and sweet, honey flavor that customers crave.”
The company has become an industry leader in managed varieties and organics, growing six of the top 10 brands in the U.S., and five of the brands are available in organics—including the coveted Ambrosia!
