NOGALES, AZ - The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas (FPAA) is navigating the social media landscape and has tapped a new figure to serve as its guide. Recently, the association announced that Saul Macias has come on board as its new Communications Coordinator, and he will use his talents to bolster the organization’s communication efforts with members, industry members, and the public.
“I look forward to working with such a great team,” said Macias. “This industry is so important in our community, and to have a chance to help further the outreach and communications efforts for the produce industry is an exciting challenge.”
Macias is looking to use his passion and energy to drive forward FPAA’s communication strategy, a release explained. He is currently attending the University of Arizona, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Law.

Macias was also an organizer with Uber as it established a presence in Arizona, and he helped launch Uber in the Community, which put together mini home makeovers and care packages for families in need.
President Lance Jungmeyer shared his excitement to have Macias joining the FPAA team.
“We are excited to add Saul to our team and look forward to the energy and innovation he will bring to our communications efforts,” he commented. “We have expanded our presence on major social media outlets over the last year, and we have overhauled our member communications as well. Saul is well positioned to continue to take us to the next level.”
