OXNARD, CA - Much like my alma mater, green and gold are resplendent at the Freska Produce International Southern Exposure booth. Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) annual industry gathering will take place in Orlando, Florida, and Freska will greet attendees with mangos and avocados galore.

“The Freska team will be holding the fort at SEPC with our portfolio on display,” Tom Hall, Sales Manager for Freska, shares with me. “We will be showcasing our fresh mangos—including some special packs, Honey clamshells, and bagged Honeys—dried mangos, and our Mexican avocados. Right now is an exciting time for mangos, as we are starting to ramp up volumes of Honeys from Mexico, including organic Honeys. Sizing is currently peaking on larger sizes, and there will be plenty of opportunities to promote this variety the balance of this month and into the next.”

At this year's Southern Exposure event, Freska Produce International will be showing off its fresh mangos—including some special packs, Honey clamshells, and bagged Honeys—dried mangos, and Mexican avocados

A golden opportunity, you might say. In addition to an increase in Honeys, previously Ataulfo mangos, the company will begin shortly to pack light volumes of round mango varieties such as Tommy Atkins, both organic and conventional, out of Mexico.

Freska will also continue to ship Peruvian Kents until about mid-March, bringing this in-demand category to retailers and shoppers and into the warmer weather—and to folks down in Florida.

“As we navigate this world post-COVID and return to some level of normalcy, we feel that it’s important to attend these trade shows, reconnect with our current customers, hopefully connect with new customers, and begin to develop and establish those personal relationships that make these shows effective,” Tom continues. “SEPC in particular has always been a great show to attend as it always has been a trendsetter in my opinion, always has a solid attendance with key retailers in attendance, and is great for networking opportunities with the face-to-face we don’t always get, either on the show floor or off.”

Freska is proud to have its packing sheds Fair Trade certified and is eager to meet others in the industry looking for quality products at the show.

Be sure to mark booth #816 on your maps if you want fresh mangos, dried mangos, and avocados in your day, and keep an eye out for ANUK to bring you more coverage on the upcoming Southern Exposure.
