GoldenSun Insights' Randy Riley Shares Insights Ahead of Organic Produce Summit Session
MONTEREY, CA - After a year and a half without in-person trade shows, our industry has a lot to talk about, and one of the primary topics of discussion involves navigating a post-COVID world in the fresh produce industry. At Organic Produce (OPS) 2021, Randy Riley, Co-Owner of GoldenSun Insights, and other fellow industry members will share their thoughts during the “Opportunities and Obstacles for Organic Produce Post-Covid” education session.
“We will be discussing consumer demand for products pre- and post-pandemic as well as innovating through current challenges,” Randy told me. “The panelists will discuss how they adapted to the changing landscape of retail in addition to the future of e-commerce in a post-COVID world.”
Randy hopes to pay particular attention to the retail landscape, and encourages attendees to continue to engage their teams with current trends and what future operations may look like. He stated that having a proactive mindset and adapting to change will be integral in the success for this transition. In his words, this is the start of a dialogue that will continue to evolve.
Of course, operators will feel the effects of the pandemic no matter where they stand in the industry, and Riley explained that organic suppliers should pay especially close attention to what happens next.
“Organics are associated with a healthy lifestyle, and health has been top of mind for consumers for almost two years. This will only continue, and seeing how the pandemic elevated the need for healthier foods should be a point of interest for organic produce suppliers,” said Randy.
