International Fresh Produce Association Prepares for Upcoming Foodservice Conference; Joe Watson Comments
NEWARK, DE & WASHINGTON, DC - Monterey, California, has always held a special place in my heart. These days, more than anything else, I associate the beautiful city with fresh produce trade shows. One such event taking place July 28-29 is the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) Foodservice Conference, providing an opportunity for buyers and suppliers to bump elbows and talk shop.
“The Foodservice Conference is the premier place for foodservice buyers and suppliers in produce to connect, create new partnerships, and explore new trends and products,” said IFPA Vice President and Foodservice Lead Joe Watson. “There’s no other event that is solely dedicated to putting produce on the plate at foodservice. We know that produce should be half the plate and that doesn’t just mean at home. I’m looking forward to being back at the Bay to bring the best of produce to foodservice menus.”
The Foodservice Conference will include an epic lineup of speakers as well as an Expo on July 29, featuring grower/shippers and processors, transportation companies, technology providers, and packaging solutions providers. The event serves as a one-stop shop for the over 100 buyer companies in attendance, according to a press release.
Foodservice operators from restaurant chains and groups, colleges/universities, airlines, and healthcare will be in attendance, as well as foodservice distributors and wholesalers, K–12 representatives, chefs and menu developers, and more. Buyers attending Foodservice 2022 can be found here.
Those interested can also access the exhibitor map to plan their show. The “Fresh Ideas Showcase” will highlight the newest innovations in produce for foodservice, and all exhibitors are entered into the Best of Show Contest.
Here’s to another successful foodservice show!
