Limoneira Company Announces Changes to Board of Directors; Harold S. Edwards and Scott S. Slater Share
SANTA PAULA, CA - Big news is in store! Limoneira recently revealed changes to its Board of Directors, revealing that Robert M. Sawyer will be stepping down effective November 1. As of the same date, Barbara Carbone will take her place on the company’s Board of Directors, in addition to serving as a member of the Board’s Audit and Finance Committee and Risk Management Committee.
Carbone currently serves on the KPMG Retired Partners Council, and has served in several accounting and auditing-related roles at KPMG from 1981 through 2019. According to a press release, she also served as a member of the Board of Directors, and Chair of the audit committee of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Rounding out her expertise, she has a B.S. in Business Administration (Accountancy) from California State University at Sacramento.
With the appointment of Carbon, the Board is now comprised of nine directors, eight of whom are independent.

Limoneira Chairperson of the Board Scott S. Slater also commented.

His extensive knowledge of California real estate, land use, and environmental laws and regulations was instrumental in guiding our Company.”
