Naturipe Farms Prepares for Georgia Blackberry Season; Jim Roberts Comments
SALINAS, CA - The berry set is getting an exciting uplift as Naturipe Farms prepares to kick-start its blackberry growing season in Georgia, beginning in mid-May and lasting through early July. With high-quality, delicious berries in store for its partners, the supplier is well-armed to back blackberry displays with peak volumes through the month of June.
“These sweet, firm, and jet-black berries are a crowd favorite. With a strong supply expected, production will be steady through early July with our growers anticipating their first pick in mid-May,” noted Jim Roberts, President of Sales. “Summer blackberries are a key component of a retailer’s berry patch display, and Naturipe is primed and ready to supply promotable volumes.”
The purveyor will have a great mix of varieties this season with excellent flavor, texture, and color, including its own unique proprietary varieties. According to a press release, the company is expecting promotable volumes on all pack sizes—including 6 oz, 12 oz, and 18 oz packs—and offers delivery options for all size orders.
Large volumes of this blackberry peak will come from Patten Berry Farms in South Georgia, where blackberry growing pioneer Michelle Patten has been farming for two decades. Michelle is proud to grow for Naturipe and bring high-quality blackberries to market; Patten Berry Farms’ success comes from Michelle’s passion for, and unwavering commitment to, growing delicious Georgia blackberries.
