Pacific Trellis Fruit Brings Dulcinea® Farms-Branded Cherries to Retail Shelves; Josh Leichter and Dan Carapella Share
LOS ANGELES, CA - A category debut only comes around once in a blue moon, and the metaphorical night sky is beaming with light on this fine Monday. Pacific Trellis Fruit is officially debuting its Dulcinea® Farms-branded cherries in the category, which are preparing to hit retail shelves in the United States.
“We are proud to receive the first Dulcinea branded cherries,” Chief Executive Officer Josh Leichter says. “We would like to give a special thanks to our grower partners Delipack and Extraberries for helping to bring this program to market.”
Dulcinea cherries will be available from December to March at participating retailers. They will be offered in a high-graphic pouch bag as well as an 8 x 2 lb clamshell to capture the eye of consumers with many preferences.
This successful delivery of the first Dulcinea-branded cherries represents a victory for Pacific Trellis in an increasingly competitive category. According to a press release, Pacific Trellis has quickly grown to be a top-three importer of cherries, with this being the first year packaging the category under the Dulcinea label.
“We see competition from China and logistics challenges seen worldwide as some of the biggest challenges we faced in rolling out this program,” says Dan Carapella, Cherry Category Manager. “We are pleased to have overcome those challenges.”
Pacific Trellis’ cherry crop is expected to be consistent and high-quality throughout the season, with larger options available as well.
