Procacci Brothers' Frank Paone Discusses Santa Sweets' Increasing Growth and Demand
PHILADELPHIA, PA - Procacci Brothers' Santa Sweets continues to grow leaps and bounds, answering consumers' call for its Uglyripe Heirloom Tomatoes®. With an eye on future growth and the trajectory to fill it, Frank Paone, the company's Director of Marketing, took the time to tell me some of the strides the brand has made.
“Santa Sweets has increased acreage for our signature Uglyripe Heirloom tomato across our farms domestically, and now in our indoor growing facilities in Mexico,” Frank says, explaining that the expansion is in an effort to better fill the current demand pipeline.
The growth is also to help meet demand for Santa Sweets’ newer markets, Frank explains, with interest and inquiries coming in from both customers and from consumers that reach out to the team directly.
“The recognition for the flavor of the Uglyripes is national; this is a step in trying to help increase access while making sure the quality remains to our high standards,” Frank says.
As for current offerings, Frank describes the quality of the fruit thus far as outstanding, to say the least. “The flavor has been superb; our whole team was very happy with our initial taste test and I was more than happy to bring a few home afterward.”
But don’t take our word for it. Those attending Southern Exposure kicking off March 3 and running through March 5 can see for themselves.
Uglyripes, as well as other Santa Sweets' signature grape tomato, organic grape tomato, and other organic packaged items, will be on display at the show. So don’t forget to swing by booth #1217 to see what the buzz is all about!
