Trinity Fruit Company Backs High-Quality Stone Fruit Season With Ample Merchandising Tools; Angela Hernandez Discusses
FRESNO, CA - Fuzzy peaches, tender apricots, richly colored plums, and juicy nectarines call to shoppers as they pass the produce aisle, inspiring impulse purchases and repeat buys as the summer heat sets in here in the Northern Hemisphere. To get retailers ready for this demand, Trinity Fruit Company has everything they need for a successful stone fruit program.
“We always encourage retailers to make use of our in-house marketing department, which provides POS material that educates consumers on the health benefits of stone fruit,” says Angela Hernandez, Director of Marketing. “This year, we have created POS signage for retailers to call-out the positive attributes of stone fruit, and we are also encouraging retailers to make use of our display bins for bagged fruit to really catch those impulse shoppers.”
Currently, Trinity Fruit is harvesting its high-quality apricots, peaches, nectarines, and plums and is seeing fantastic flavor and normal sizing. For the 2022 season, the company is also anticipating a bump in supply.
“This season, we are projected to have more boxes than last year,” adds Angela. “We are shorter on apricots due to some weather issues, but volume for our other stone fruit commodities are projected to be higher than they were last season.”
Overall, Angela tells me that Trinity Fruit has enough supply to keep up with demand, setting the stage for optimal merchandising opportunities and promotions in the grocery aisles. With its 2 lb pouch bagged fruit available in both conventional and organic varieties, the supplier has the right products to attract impulse shoppers too.
As the temperature gauges rise, make sure your stone fruit sales do too with Trinity Fruit’s lineup of peaches, apricots, plums, and nectarines.
