Duda Farm Fresh Foods Expands Georgia Sweet Corn Facility with Certified Processing Room On Site; Jeff Goodale Details
OVIEDO, FL - Duda Farm Fresh Foods, a trusted leader in fresh celery, radish, and corn, announces the addition of a cutting-edge on-site fresh-cut corn processing facility within its Georgia sweet corn operations. This bold investment marks a pivotal step in the company’s commitment to delivering fresher, more sustainable produce.
The new facility mirrors the same technology and processes used across all of Duda’s existing corn processing locations in Florida, Michigan, and Indiana.

This sophisticated, value-added model trims each ear of corn, shucks it, and packs it into a variety of pack sizes. Having the corn grown and packed in the same region drastically improves shelf-life over corn shipped across the country in bulk, to often be processed a number of days later.

“We are extremely excited to be able to meet our customers’ desire to be able to load both tray pack and bulk corn in one location. As important as this convenience is, this ability reduces our sweet corn supply chain, allowing us to deliver the freshest product possible, which is especially crucial during summer holiday periods that are perfect for enjoying sweet corn,” said Jeff Goodale, Senior VP Strategy and Business Development at Duda Farm Fresh Foods, in the recent release.
Traditionally, sweet corn has been grown and packaged in the northern United States during the late summer, but with this expansion, Duda is reshaping the seasonal map—bringing locally and regionally grown sweet corn to the Southeast, May through October. This means fresher corn arriving on store shelves and the reduction in food miles directly reduces the carbon footprint of the Georgia crop, all while meeting the growing demand for local produce.

“We opened the facility this June and have just completed our inaugural July 4th demand spike. We look forward to speaking with customers about how they can expand with us as we continue to make investments in the packaged corn business,” added Goodale.
