Bee Sweet Citrus Announces Availability of Winter Citrus Line; Monique Bienvenue and Keith Watkins Comment
FOWLER, CA - Don’t be surprised when your shoppers are asking for more California citrus these next few weeks. California’s domestic citrus season is now in full swing, and demand will soon kick up when consumers hear that the Bee Sweet Citrus team reports the arrival of its winter citrus line.
“Winter is here, and our team is thrilled to welcome back our specialty citrus varieties,” stated Director of Communications Monique Bienvenue. “While we provide customers with Mandarins, lemons, and Navel oranges year-round, our winter citrus line provides shoppers with the opportunity to try something new.”
Since the start of the season, Bee Sweet Citrus has added California Mandarins, oranges, lemons, pummelos, grapefruit, Meyer lemons, Blood oranges, and Cara Cara Navels to its versatile product line.
According to the release, all of these varieties are harvested throughout California’s Central Valley, Central Coast, and Imperial Valley. They are revered for their unique flavor profiles and immunity-boosting characteristics, two of the things shoppers keep an eye out for in their pursuit of healthy products.
“California’s Mediterranean climate is ideal for growing citrus because the fruit is sensitive towards extreme temperatures,” commented Vice President of Farming Keith Watkins. “Our moderate weather allows us to harvest citrus year-round and focus on specialty varieties during the winter months.”
To welcome the arrival of Bee Sweet’s specialty varieties, the grower is rolling out its highly anticipated lineup of new, high-graphic packaging. Each bag and carton strategically showcases the variety’s unique characteristics.
“The winter months are a great time to promote specialty citrus because each of our available varieties has characteristics that beautifully complement seasonal promotions,” continued Bienvenue. “With a product line as diverse as ours, you can be sure that we have something for everyone.”
Bee Sweet’s winter citrus line is grown under the close watch of the company’s farming department and meets strict quality standards to ensure consumers receive an exceptional piece of fruit.
