Dole Food Company Appoints Dan Welk as Vice President of Sales and Rosie Dworak as Vice President of Operations for Dole Diversified North America Division; Rob Russo Comments
CHARLOTTE, NC - Dole Food Company is channeling rapid growth for its North American operations and harnessing the expertise of respected industry leaders to do so. The fresh provider has announced the appointment of multiple execs, hiring Dan Welk as Vice President of Sales for the Dole Diversified North America (DDNA) division and tapping Senior Director of Systems and Finance for DDNA, Rosie Dworak, to take on the role of Vice President of Operations for the division.
“I am very grateful for this opportunity to join the team. My initiation into the produce world started with Dole, so it feels a bit of a homecoming,” Welk commented on his new Vice President of Sales position.
With experience with distinguished supply-side names like Del Monte, Earthbound, Mann Packing, and Dole Fresh Vegetables, Welk brings over 25 years of produce industry experience to the role. As he joins the senior leadership team, he will be responsible for the sales of the North American Diversified Berry, Grapes, and Citrus products.
According to a press release, Welk’s addition to the team is part of a dynamic and strategic initiative to continue the forward momentum of Dole’s success in the berries category, providing additional leadership to achieve growth targets.
“Dan’s addition to the team will help us in continuing the retail growth of our business and bring his wealth of experience and customer-centric focus to support Dole Diversified in our expansion plans,” noted Dole Diversified North America General Manager Rob Russo. “We are looking forward to the contributions Dan will make to support the team and drive the business forward with new customer opportunities as we increase our sourcing of supply.”
Dworak will also be undertaking a central role for the DDNA division, stepping in as Vice President of Operations.
Over her past five years with Dole Diversified, Dworak has played a vital role in the progress and expansion of the business. In her new DDNA position, Dworak will oversee the operations, finance, and business systems areas of the division in North America.
