Honeybear Brands® Celebrates National Eat a Red Apple Day With Creative Campaign; Kristi Harris Shares
ELGIN, MN - December is a lovely month, filled with tons of exciting celebrations. Among them is National Eat a Red Apple Day, which kicks off the month on December 1. Dedicated to reminding shoppers about the wonderful reasons to indulge in a delicious red apple, Honeybear Brands® unleashed a creative campaign highlighting the physical and mental benefits of the fruit.
“As more and more consumers recognize the intersection between diet and both physical and mental well-being, we think it’s important to encourage consumers to take simple steps that can improve their health,” shared Kristi Harris, Brand Manager for Honeybear Brands. “Reaching for an apple a day and recognizing a few things to be grateful for are simple and inexpensive practices that can improve our health. Of course, we think every day should be National Eat a Red Apple Day!”
As part of its latest campaign, Honeybear worked with two of its favorite influencers, reaching the dedicated audiences of Tricia Huffman, "Your Joyologist" and podcaster Emily Dingman of My Everyday Table. Videos were created that included gratitude practices and recipe inspiration for easy, after-school apple crisps.
In addition to the influencers’ social platforms, these videos were promoted on social media in markets where Pazazz is found on shelves, achieving a combined 102,231 impressions.
National Eat a Red Apple Day arrived just in time for retailers to harness the opportunities provided by the Pazazz variety, a standout item in the produce department during the winter months.
“Pazazz is a late-season apple that has incredible flavor and crunch throughout the winter months,” Kristi adds. “Recent consumer taste tests show that Pazazz outperformed all of the other premium and popular varieties. Consumers absolutely love the bright, bold tanginess coupled with an explosive crunch that is part Honeycrisp, part giddy-up!”
“Cosmic Crisp continues to grow in volume out of Washington, and Evercrisp is another late-season variety that is growing in popularity,” Kristi continued. “Healthy supplies of Evercrisp produced in the Midwest make that variety an excellent opportunity for many retailers looking for fruit grown closer to home, and there is a large supply of Honeycrisp this season that will continue to provide ad opportunities.”
Follow Honeybear Brands’ advice and make every day National Eat a Red Apple Day with these fan-favorite varieties!
