EL DORADO HILLS, CA - Vital insights into the world of blueberries have been provided by the International Blueberry Organization (IBO) which has released its highly anticipated 2023 State of the Global Blueberry Industry Report to the industry for free.

The latest health research surrounding blueberries also provides a fresh perspective as rising trends like machine harvesting and an intensified focus on Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) gain increased attention.

The release went on to note an astounding 77 percent surge in Highbush Production since 2018. A considerable squeeze on margins, with input costs in 2022 soaring between 20–30 percent and non-harvest costs even doubling in some instances, is also explored in the report. However, according to IBO, industry costs are beginning to normalize.
