Ippolito International’s Dan Canales Discusses Upcoming Southern Exposure Showcase
SALINAS, CA - At the Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure, Ippolito International’s main goals are to solidify current relationships, forge new ones, and introduce new products. I recently had the chance to chat with Dan Canales, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Processing, to discuss what’s in store.

“We will be showcasing our new Brussels Bites™ Kits. The product line includes four flavors: Barbeque Cheddar, Garlic Bacon, Ginger and Sweet Chili, and Feta and Sun-Dried Tomato. Each kit includes pre-washed, bite-sized Brussels sprouts packaged with seasonings and toppings that the consumer adds to the Brussels sprouts while cooking,” Dan told me. “Easy-to-follow sauté, roast, and air fry instructions are included on the packaging.”
According to Dan, the SEPC show is big enough to have an impact, with the right decision-makers attending while remaining at a size that doesn’t make the buyers feel rushed. This way, vendors like Ippolito are able to have more in-depth conversations with those who stop by the booth.

“This is a great regional show that brings in both retailers and foodservice companies that can have an impact on our business,” he continued. “Also, SEPC has relevant educational sessions and speakers along with a vibrant show floor during the expo.”
When attendees visit the Ippolito booth, the team wants them to take away a greater understanding of all the company’s capabilities that range from a full line of Western veg commodities to a full and diverse value-added lineup.
