4Earth Farms Hires Rusbelina Silva as Director of Quality and Food Safety
LOS ANGELES, CA - As the focus on food safety continues to expand in the produce industry, 4Earth Farms has announced the hiring of Rusbelina Silva as its new Director of Quality and Food Safety.
“I am thrilled to be joining 4Earth Farms and the Food Safety Team, a team of dedicated food safety professionals that believe as strongly in food safety as I do,” Rusbelina commented upon her hiring. “For three years in a row 4Earth Farms has held a SQF Level 3 certification and just recently obtained the highest grade ‘A’ for the internationally recognized food safety and quality program BRC, Issue 7. I don’t think people in our industry really fathom how impressive that is. I will be challenged to figure out ways to make us even better, but I am looking forward to it!”
Prior to her joining 4Earth Farms, Rusbelina worked for tortilla giant Mission Foods for over twenty-three years, where she held positions that included Total Quality Manager and Total Quality Director. Rusbelina ended her tenure with Mission as Vice President of Total Quality.
“Food safety is not just good business, it is a moral imperative both to protect our customer’s brands as well as the health of the consumer,” shared 4Earth Farm’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mark Munger. “As our company grows and adapts to new rules and requirements, Rusbelina’s experience and leadership will prove invaluable.”
Since earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical Engineering with a focus on Food Science and Technology, Rusbelina has worked in quality assurance. She holds experience working with quick frozen vegetables, grains, salsas, and soups, where she was responsible for regulatory compliance and managing the microbiology laboratory, as well as quality assurance.
Us at AndNowUKnow look forward to the food safety innovations that will come out of this new partnership.
