Bee Sweet Citrus Promotes Healthy Eating With Fowler Fall Festival Fund Run/Walk
FOWLER, CA - A company that has continually proven its commitment to benefitting health through eating fresh produce, Bee Sweet Citrus has now expanded its efforts to include its local Fowler, California-based community. The company has partnered with the city’s local high school to bring back the beloved Fowler Fall Festival Fund Run/Walk following its five year hiatus.
“After launching our #EatMoreCitrus campaign last year, Bee Sweet Citrus has been looking for fun and innovative ways to promote the benefits of eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle,” explained Bee Sweet Citrus Director of Communications Monique Bienvenue. “When we heard that the Fowler High School Cross Country team was considering bringing back the city’s annual community run, we knew we wanted to help as much as possible.”
Bee Sweet designed its #EatMoreCitrus campaign to inform consumers about the benefits of incorporating citrus into their diets, according to a press release. The Fall Festival is just one of several other ways the company has taken a hands-on approach to push for health in its community. In addition to fruit donations to many local clubs and organizations, Bee Sweet donated $1 million to Valley Children’s Hospital to build a new pediatric center in Fowler just last year.
“Our community is very involved in health and fitness,” added Fowler High School Cross Country Coach Jayleen Budwig. “We haven’t hosted this event in five years, so we are thrilled to see how it will bring the Fowler community together.”
The two mile run/walk event will take place on Saturday, October 8th at Fowler’s Panzak Park. Same day registration will begin at 6:45 am, followed by the race at 7:30 am. Registration is $20, with all proceeds benefiting the Fowler High School Cross Country team.
