Concord Foods Partners with California Avocado Commission for Free Guacamole Samples at Retail
BROCKTON, MA - At any given party, you can find me lingering at the snack table, chips in hand and dipping into vibrant green guacamole with the perfect hints of spice and seasoning. And when you add a Fourth of July holiday into the mix, I may just never leave. Bringing the perfect guacamole to retailers like Walmart in order to get consumers to adopt my guac-eating obsession are Concord Foods and the California Avocado Commission (CAC). To maximize sales during the Fourth of July weekend, the duo will be bringing free guacamole samples to retailers this summer.
“We look forward to helping people enjoy life’s special occasions, like the Fourth of July, by offering quick, convenient meal solutions that are also healthy and flavor-filled,” said Charles Olins, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Concord Foods. “By demonstrating how easy it is to use our juices and the new Concord Fresh Success packets to enhance the flavors of fresh produce, we seek to inspire more people to reach for Concord Foods products when shopping for healthy solutions.”
By showcasing how well California avocados pair with Concord Foods' lime juice and the Concord Fresh Success mild and extra spicy guacamole mixes, both partners look to solidify their brands as the preferred choice when it comes to providing healthy and delicious meals to families. According to a press release, Concord Foods seeks to align itself with like-minded fresh produce brands to accomplish similar partnerships, as the Concord Fresh Success line features seasoning and smoothie packets that give a depth of flavor to a number of other fresh fruits and vegetables.
As we’ve previously reported, CAC marks June as California Avocado Month, during which the company celebrated with peak volumes of ripe avocados. Now, continuing the celebration, the two brands are joining forces to provide inspiration to people looking to serve healthy dips for summertime festivities.
“The partnership with Concord Foods is a natural fit for the California Avocado Commission, as our products go hand-in-hand—especially during the Fourth of July,” said Jan DeLyser, Vice President of Marketing at CAC. “We know guacamole is on trend and a staple during this time of year, so we are excited to provide in-season avocados to shoppers looking to please a crowd this summer.”
