National Mango Board Hires Angie Thomas as Retail Consultant
ORLANDO, FL - The National Mango Board (NMB) is helping grocers drive more traffic to the mango section, employing new talent to achieve these goals. The organization has welcomed Angie Thomas as a Retail Consultant. As she takes on this new role, Thomas will serve the West Coast markets, working alongside retailers to support mango marketing and merchandising.
Thomas joins the Board from Oppy and Turners & Growers where she managed North American sales planning and activation for Envy™ and Jazz apples, the press release noted. Before that, she worked as Director of Category Development at Category Partners, overseeing Walmart’s potato and onion categories, as well as Business Development Marketing Manager for organicgirl and Oppy.
“We are very proud to have Angie join the NMB retail team. We are excited for her to share her produce experience and become a part of the mango industry,” the organization stated in a recent release. “Angie is ready to work with her clients to Move More Mangos!”
Thomas also brings well-rounded experience from her tenure as Communications Manager for the California Avocado Commission and Marketing Manager for Christopher Ranch.
To her new role, Thomas brings over 15 years of experience across strategic planning, sales management, data analytics, and marketing in the produce sector, with knowledge gained from working on both the buy- and supply-sides.
